DIG is assisting TAMEER Housing Finance Company through sharing in building its first loss facility, as well as building the capacity of the TAMEER Microfinance Bank which will act as a service provider in originating and managing TAMEER Housing Finance loans. Additionally, DIG is extending technical expertise to scale-up TAMEER Microfinance Bank housing microfinance portfolio. DIG's partnership with TAMEER Housing Finance Company and TAMEER Microfiannce Bank will yield important lessons into the development of mortgage products for the low income clientele.  The approach in Pakistan exemplifies an innovative method of delivery which partners a microfinance bank and specialized housing finance company through an alternative service model where the bank serves as the servicing agent to the housing finance company.
